Hello,
Please let me start by saying that I'm honored and grateful that I've been asked by Ellen to be a member of the Driver Advisory Board. Its truly a privilege to be a part of such a wonderful organization that I feel so strongly about.

Women in trucking (WIT) is a much needed organization, I only wish it (WIT) would have been here for me when I first started driving 19 years ago, But I'm certainly appreciative of it now.

A word about me....My name is sherri fronko, Iam 45 years old and my birth day is September 11th I live in Coldwater,Michigan for 9 years now. before I came here I lived in a small town north of Tulsa,Ok for 3 years and before that I was born and raised in Whittier, California (So Cal) for 33 years. I got my CDL in 1991, I've driven for huge carriers and owner operators alike. My oldest daughter Heather who is about to turn 22 was on the road with me from the time she was 5 weeks old. When time for her to start the 1st grade I didn't want to stop driving truck cross country so I home schooled her in the truck, I drove 10 hours during the day (back then you drove on 10 off 8) and did 5 hours of school work at night.We drove team then with my husband. Heather was the only kid I knew who had been to every amusement park and major shopping mall in the country before the 2nd grade. ( had to find things to do with a child around) I would not change any of that for the world.

I don't do as much over the road anymore (but some) I now work for Wilcox trucking in Coldwater,mi. during the week days I am in the office doing dispatch, I run 10 flat beds and a hand full of vans all over the mid west. I also haul Tomato's and potato's during harvest to various stated such as Indiana and Pennsylvania. I also have 2 kids that are 10 and 11 who go on the road with me during the summer as well. They also go on the road with their dad as well who is a truck driver for Wal Mart.

I feel like I have quite a bit of knowledge in the trucking industry, Being a driver for 19 years and running dispatch as well. Because of me being on both side of the field I have been trying to really study up on all the CSA 2010 new stuff going on this year.

I am here on this board to help any way possible with any questions that anyone may have regarding the trucking industry ( or anything else) If myself or my fellow advisory sisters dont know the answers, then I will promise to do my very best to find the answers as quickly as possible.

Last but not least.....Ellen Voie and myself are headed out on a really cool adventure, We are going to get the Women in trucking (WIT) Logo TATTOO done this summer......possible at the Dallas truck show, we will advise for sure the venue........We are very excited about this event, were hoping to get a lot of media coverage for (WIT) for this event.
