I still have not found a trucking job. I have a friend who is an O/O that has just leased to a company that said they would clear me but now they say they may not be able to.I feel bad for him because it is not exactly the best place to lease and he could do much better but he specifically went there to help me out and now he has been running for a week and they may not take me after all.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks,
Lori
Thanks Dawdles!!!!
As of right now it looks like USA Truck may take me and let me go through their school. Very scary stuff LOL. Unfortunately they are going to be paying me less a mile than I made after school the 1st time which was in 1988 but at least it is some experience and I can get back to doing what I love....I will know for sure in a few days.
Meanwhile if anyone hears of anything else please let me know. I think I might just have to buy a truck and trailer in a few months and go O/O again. Maybe then I can help others that need help.

I am 46 yrs. old and am looking for a driving position. I have a bit of a long story so please bear with me.
I went to driving school in 1988 and drove for many years and owned 2 trucks at one time. In Dec 2002 I came off the road and went to work for a small family owned trucking business. (My Uncle and cousin owned the business). I got a dui and a drug charge and lost my CDL. IN Oh if you get a dui they give you back a reg. license and you lose CDL and all endorsements.
On Mar. 1st I went and retested and got my CDL without a problem. Took the writtens and took the skills test and passed with flying colors even though I have not driven semi in a little over 8 yrs.
Unfortunately I am unable to find a job anywhere. My felony is 5 yrs old on paper. it is 6 yrs out from date of arrest but it goes by date of conviction. I am clean and sober and have been since this arrest. I am looking for anyone who is willing to give a girl a second chance. I have certainly made my share of mistakes and I fully understand that I am going to have to start over.
I am looking for an owner operator with own authority or a small comapny to hire me. I willing to train or run team or whatever I need to do to get some experience again..
I live in Columbus Ohio.
Thanks for any advice or help.
God Bless Lori
