Preparing for the Conference

The Accelerate! Conference & Expo, hosted by the Women In Trucking Association, takes place Nov. 12-14 in Dallas. Here is a helpful list to prepare:

Familiarize Yourself with the Conference Agenda. You can see the full conference agenda - including the Schedule, Session Descriptions, Exhibitors and Sponsors, Floor Plan, and Hotel/Travel Information.

Dress Appropriately. The dress code is business casual attire for all conference activities. Speakers and exhibitors are encouraged to wear business attire as appropriate.

Register for the “Speed Mentoring” Session
Hear the career stories from seasoned professionals in the industry – or if you’re interested, share your own stories! This is an excellent opportunity to quickly make new connections in a fun “speed dating” format before the conference begins. Registration is required – but is included in your registration fees. (Registration coming soon)

On-Site Registration at the Conference. For your convenience, depending upon when you arrive, on-site registration is regularly open and the Registration Desk will be staffed throughout the event to assist with questions during these times: Monday (9am - 5pm); Tuesday (7:30am - 3:30pm); and Wednesday (8am - 2:30pm).

Reserve Your Hotel Room, Make Ground Transportation Plans
This event takes place at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Dallas Frisco Hotel Convention Center & Spa. If you're from out of town, make sure you have your hotel room reserved – and take a taxi cab or Uber from the airport. For drivers, limited semi parking spaces are available near the facility.

The Accelerate! Truck Tour. See incredible new technologies in tractors, ranging from platooning trucks and microturbine-electric hybrid drive systems to emission-reduction and 360-degree technology. This takes place right outside the hotel on Tuesday afternoon, following the education sessions. > Details coming soon

Be Ready for Networking Opportunities. The opening reception on Monday evening, the Women Entrepreneurs in Trucking (WBE) Reception, or the overall Networking Reception Tuesday evening, offer many ways to connect in a fun, social environment. And if you’re staying an extra evening, we’re even having an informal post-conference reception on Wednesday evening so you can say “farewell” to your new and life-long friends in WIT!
