One of the Women In Trucking Association’s tenants in its mission is to recognize women and companies for their efforts and successes in gender diversity. As part of its business practices, on the anniversary of its centennial Howes proudly opened the doors to its Hall of Fame – where it recognizes the best of the trucking and agricultural industries. Those inducted are individuals of character and vision. They are places of sanctuary and exhilaration. During this special session you’ll hear:

Deb is the current co-owner of the Howes Company. Wife of company President Robert Howes, and mother of Erika and Rob Howes II, the family's fifth generation of soon-to-be owners, Deb has been involved at Howes for well over 30 years. She has taken on many roles and responsibilities within the business over the years, but one of the most rewarding has been serving as the heart of Howes. Deb upholds the Howes core values, and always demonstrates traits such as honesty, loyalty, trustworthiness, and strength. Over the years, Deb has formed a true bond with all Howes employees and makes everyone within the company feel like family. By always having an open ear and giving selfless support to others, she inspires everyone to put their best foot forward. She sincerely cares for each and every individual. Deb puts her heart and soul into the business day in and day out. Her efforts have helped the company become everything it is today, and she has set a wonderful example for future generations to follow.

Erika is a fifth generation family member of the Howes Company, leading developers of the highest quality additives and lubricants. Born and raised in Rhode Island, Erika has grown up in and around the family owned and operated business, participating in various and assorted ways all throughout her youth. Officially, she has worked in different areas of the company for nearly 20 years. She is currently the V.P. of Business Development and oversees many of the company’s marketing initiatives. She spearheads the company’s social media efforts, running the Howes Facebook page. In addition to being the main copywriter for the company, Erika can be heard on the radio as the voice of the Howes. She is also the Commissioner of the Howes Hall of Fame.

Angelique Temple has more than 18 years in the trucking industry. She is an active member of the Women In Trucking Association and currently serves on the association's Image Team. She is also a member of the FMCSA Driver Panel where she provides her perspective and experience as a female professional driver.
