Nicole Glenn founded Candor Expedite in 2017 after more than two decades in the transportation brokerage business, with a vision to build the smartest and most efficient freight business that delivers on its client’s promises. Today Candor is recognized as a leading certified women-owned business headquartered in Texas – with offices in Illinois and Kansas.
Logistics is in Nicole’s DNA having held several operational positions for a variety of transportation brokerage companies over the years. Through these roles she learned the nuts and bolts of moving freight along with the biggest challenges both shippers and carriers face each day. In 2008 Nicole moved to the sales side of the business, working her way up to president of K & L Freight Management, Inc., and in 2016 became head of Cherry Logistics Corporation.
After 20+ years of working for others, Nicole wanted to build her own team. With her strong network and excellent industry reputation, it wasn’t long before Candor became one of the top transportation companies in the business - known for its hot shot ground, high touch, time sensitive shipments and white glove delivery services. Nicole credits her success with an amazing team that consistently provides superior customer service, real-time updates, precision, and open communication.
Nicole is a certified member of The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). She is a member of The Expedite Association of North America, Women in Trucking, and the Transportation Intermediaries Association. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in management and marketing from Northwood University.
Nicole has received numerous accolades including being named one of the Top Women-Owned Businesses by Women in Trucking, and a 2021 Enterprising Women of the Year Champion, an annual tribute to the world’s top female entrepreneurs. Additionally, Nicole is one of the founders of The Ladies Leadership Coalition (LLC), a new podcast hosted by female business leaders to profile successful business women.

Jen Behnke is from Georgia and has a bachelor’s degree from Ole Miss. Before owning a trucking company, she worked in commercial real estate, sales, customer service, and business operations.
She and her husband, Kyle, started United Federal Logistics in 2015. Kyle had a background in shipping logistics, and they had a dream to own their own business. Through perseverance, hard work, and faith, they have grown their business from scratch with 3 trucks and 6 drivers to 23 tractors and 35 people on staff.
Jen and Kyle have a son and a vizsla dog. They live in a Woodstock, Georgia and are involved with their church. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family, Tough Mudder events, and being in nature.

Sherri has over 30 years of experience in the trucking industry, beginning her career at her family-owned and operated truckload carrier in 1991. President and CEO, Sherri became owner of Garner Trucking, Inc. in July 2012. Garner Trucking, which began business with one truck and was founded as Vern Garner Trucking, currently has 90 power units and 375 dry van trailers. The company’s average length of haul is 350 miles and services primarily the Midwest. In 2020, Garner celebrated 60 years in the trucking industry.
Garner Trucking in recent years has received recognition as a Best Fleets to Driver For – 5 years consecutively, Top Trucking Company for women to work for in transportation and Fleet Owners Flashiest Fleet past winner!
Sherri is immediate past Chair of the Board of the American Trucking Associations, the largest national trade association for the trucking industry. Through a federation of 50 affiliated state trucking associations and industry-related conferences and councils, ATA is the voice of the industry America depends on most to move our nation’s freight.
Sherri has served on the Advisory Committee on Human Trafficking for the Federal Department of Transportation. She was acting Secretary of this committee. This committee gave recommendations to Secretary Chao to address human trafficking issues in our country as they relate to all transportation sectors.
Sherri is a past Trustee for the University of Findlay where she co-chaired the Advancement Committee. A current member of the University of Findlay College of Business Advisory Board and is an adjunct professor teaching supply chain management. She is the immediate past President of the Boy Scouts of America Black Swamp Area Council Board and co-chairs Scouts BSA National Service Territory 9 as chair elect. Other organizations important to Sherri are her volunteer efforts with the American Heart Association and bringing a truckload of Christmas wreaths in collaboration with Wreaths Across America to her hometown cemetery. Garner also delivers, annually, a truckload of wreaths to Arlington National Cemetery. She is a member of College First Church of God and performs with the Chancel Orchestra.
Sherri graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Education in Music and received her Master of Education from Bowling Green State University. She is married to Jerry Brumbaugh and they have three sons and they have a grandson – Hudson Garner Brumbaugh!

Laura Roan Hays has been in the transportation industry for more than 30 years. She began her career in 1989 as an administrative assistant and worked her way up to Branch Manager, leading the Great Dane Tampa and Miami branches.
Along with her extensive sales and customer service experience, Laura also has comprehensive knowledge of the trucking industry’s aftermarket sector.
She has been a member of WIT since early 2012, and most recently, she was appointed to the Women in Trucking Board of Directors. She is excited to take on this role and further assist in fulfilling the WIT mission to encourage the employment of women in the trucking industry, promote their accomplishments, and minimize obstacles faced by women working in the industry.
