Professional drivers are at risk of depression based on the nature of the job, isolation, and long work hours. Without the needed support, this occupation can lead to unhealthy coping skills. They spend many days in total isolation and depression can exist -- and in many cases, a combination of lack of sleep and extended periods of isolation can exacerbate the situation.

If you don’t have the ability to identify these factors, it can lead to making bad decisions. Areas that will be covered include explaining how depression, anxiety, sleeping disturbances, family dynamics all affected the mental toll of drivers. Attend this session to:

  • Develop a plan to handle his or her own feelings of depression, anxiety, sleep patterns, healthy eating, exercise
  • Share your experience of doing this exercise with a fellow participant in a dyad
  • Learn ways to ask the agency for help, a remote therapy program
