There is a reported shortage of 80,000 professional drivers – an all-time high that could reach 160,000 by 2030. With this severe driver shortage and fierce competition for drivers in mind, what can be done to successfully recruit them? The answer lies in understanding what motivates them and how these professional drivers go about finding new driving opportunities – particularly when considering those applicants who are women.

TransForce Group recently teamed up with the Women In Trucking Association (WIT) to conduct original research to survey professional female drivers on how they go about their job search and to identify their priorities in selecting an employer. Attend this session to be one of the first to learn the findings of this relevant driver research. This session will cover:

  • Primary concerns of female professional driver applicants, as well as what can be done to help women drivers manage life on the road
  • What are the most important benefits when choosing a truck driving job and what type of information do they expect to see on a job posting?
  • What applicants look for in a job search platform (i.e., job search websites, mobile apps, etc.)
  • Insights on the experiences professional drivers have when seeking a new job opportunity.
