Attracting & Retaining Women Drivers: Avoid these 5 Common Mistakes

Is your company’s goal to attract and retain more women truck drivers and you’re not sure where to start? Attend this presentation to hear common mistakes to avoid from Beth Potratz, President and CEO of Drive My Way, a personalized recruiting software that matches drivers with jobs based on their qualifications and personal preferences. You will leave this presentation with tips you can immediately apply back in your workplace from evolving your company culture to enhancing flexible work options to even implementing a driver advancement program for women.

About the Presenter

Beth Potratz is the founder and CEO of the Cleveland based start-up, Drive My Way (DMW). She is an innovative, forward-thinking HR professional that is completely disrupting truck driver recruiting by treating the driver as a consumer in the employment relationship. While redesigning the truck driver recruiting process for a large industry HR consulting client, Beth quickly recognized the problem and realized that a driver-centric approach was the solution. DMW represents the intersection between a driver’s lifestyle and career. DMW’s Vision is “To empower truck drivers to live the life they deserve, while doing a job they love.” The DMW Mission is “Matching truck drivers to jobs, changing lives and creating value for drivers, carriers and all those they serve.” This mission statement manifests itself in everything DMW does, from personalizing the recruiting experience; matching on personal lifestyle preferences; pushing matches to both the driver and carrier; allowing drivers to control access to their own data; and creating value for customers as they save time, increase revenue by expediting the hiring process and improve retention by focusing on best fit.
