“Building an Inclusive Workplace: Tips from the Best Fleets to Drive For”
Now in its 11th year, Best Fleets to Drive For is annual program recognizing the North American for-hire trucking companies that provide the best workplace experiences for their drivers and owner-operators. Nominated fleets are evaluated across a range of categories and a cross section of their drivers are surveyed as well. The winning fleets – each year’s Top 20 Best Fleets – continue to push the industry forward with their creative ideas and innovative programs.

This session will look at how the Best Fleets create diverse and inclusive workplace cultures. Results from the 2018 edition of the program, and early data from the 2019 edition, will highlight successful programs and emerging trends across fleets of different sizes, providing best practices that participants can adopt within their own companies. Attend this session to:

  • Develop programs to encourage input and feedback from all drivers, and be able to appropriately respond to concerns or suggestions
  • Develop methods to promote the diversity that already exists in their fleets
  • Find opportunities for outreach and community involvement to encourage diversity in the industry.
