Learn more about the conference

Are you a thought leader or subject matter expert in the industry? Do you have relevant content to present that would be of value to those attending one of our seven tracks? (Leadership, Professional Development, HR/Talent Management, Operations, Sales & Marketing, Safety & Compliance, or Professional Driver). We have opportunities to speak as single presenters during general sessions, breakout sessions and Pavilion Learning Sessions, as well as panel discussions to 2,500+ attendees. The event takes place Nov. 10-13, 2023 at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, TX. Our Call for Speakers for the 2024 Accelerate! Conference & Expo is now open.

Why Present?

WIT's mission is to encourage the employment of women in the trucking industry, promote their accomplishments and minimize obstacles faced by women working in the trucking industry. This conference directly supports this mission - so if your organizational goals dovetail nicely into this mission, there can be a direct value to tie your brand to that of Women In Trucking. In addition, by presenting at this conference, you and/or your team can become reputable "thought leaders" and subject matter experts on the topic that you present. Presenting at this event can be an opportunity for professional and personal growth, reputation-building, and even business development opportunities! That said, it's extremely important that your proposed content is NOT commercial - and only educational in nature.

Who Attends this Conference?

We expect 2,500+ attendees to participate in the Accelerate! Conference & Expo and the virtual conference. These live and virtual conferences attract attendees from companies involved in commercial freight transportation, ranging from motor carriers (full truckload, LTL, bulk, etc.) and third-party logistics providers to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and technology innovators. Consider proposing subjects that are relevant to individuals who hold these primary responsibilities:

  • Leadership
  • Operations
  • HR/Talent Management
  • Sales & Marketing
  • Professional Drivers

Considerations in Preparing Your Session Proposal

Our attendees are looking for take-way information that they can apply to improve their own business strategies, processes, practices, and operations. Case studies or best practices are ideal, but we also look for proposed presentations that provide practical tips on a specific topic or issue - as well as market intelligence that is relevant to the industry. That said, keep in mind that your proposal should have an angle that ties back to the need and importance of gender diversity to the trucking industry. Session proposals will be considered for both the in-person and virtual versions of the conference.

It's recommended that you invest time in preparing a Word document that outlines the following items that are requested in completing the Online Presentation Proposal Form below. This way, it should be easy to then complete the online form in 10 minutes or less.

  • Submitter Contact Information
  • Proposed Presentation Title (you can submit up to 3 separate presentation topics)
  • Relevant Tracks for Your Proposed Topic (Leadership, HR/Talent Management, Operations, Sales & Marketing, Safety & Compliance)
  • Proposed Presentation Description (no more than 150 words)
  • Learning Objectives (Identify at least 3)
  • Proposed speaker(s) - please include their name, title, company, and brief bio history. (Please note: It's important that you confirm the interest level of these individuals before submitting their names).

IMPORTANT NOTE:

We seek speakers who are motivated to support the Women In Trucking Association’s mission and to contribute their expertise to our community. But as with many other non-profit associations, WIT’s policy is that we do NOT comp registrations of speakers because we rely on registration revenue to pay for the significant expenses associated with hosting such an the event, such as food and beverage, audio visual, etc. Nor do we reimburse travel or hotel expenses for speakers. However, we’ve heard time and again from those who speak at our event that they generate significant new business with clients, form relevant business partners and alliances, and that there’s tremendous value in participating in this conference. This also is true for professional speakers (as well as industry practitioners) given 45% of our attendees make/influence decisions in hiring professional speakers for their own events, such as user conferences, employee events, etc.
