“Creating a Carrier-Friendly Warehouse” 
The relationship between the shipper and warehousing operations and the carrier are two links in the supply chain that are so co-dependent. So why isn’t the relationship professional, efficient and courteous? This session will bring together a shipper/warehousing operation and a carrier to explore how to accomplish the following:

  • Practical ideas and tips to build a better relationship
  • What both parties can do to improve this relationship
  • Explore how communication and collaboration is essential, and ways to encourage business results

Jacquelene Brotherton

Facilitator: Jacquelene Brotherton was born and raised in outback Australia and started working in the trucking industry in 1970. Brotherton is the Transport Manager of Oxford Cold Storage; Chair of Transport Women Australia Limited; a Life member of the Livestock and Bulk Carriers Association of NSW. She is also the Chair of the Refrigerated Warehouse and Transport Association subcommittee for transport. She is part of the Women in Trucking Content Advisory Council and a member of the International Refrigerated Transport Association and Women in Cold Chain (US). In June 2018, Brotherton was honoured with the Excellence in Road Transport award at the Women in Industry Awards. This national award is a fantastic acknowledgement of Brotherton’s immense contribution to the transport and logistics industry over many years.
