Every day, remarkable women are making a difference in the transportation industry – from the driver’s seat to the corner office. This session will feature several individuals named as the “2020 Top Women to Watch in Transportation” by WIT’s official magazine, Redefining the Road. This year more than 100 nominees were considered on the basis of their career accomplishments in the past 18 months and ways in which they have managed their careers to provide solid productivity and performance to the enterprises that employ them.

Attend this session to hear the stories of a few of these amazing women while learning the following concepts:

  • Ideas and inspiration on how to get excited about where you’re at in your career today
  • Identifying and overcoming challenges or obstacles you face in your career in a male-dominated industry
  • Practical tips on how to maintain balance in your life while still maximizing productivity and performance

Panelists include Sharon Reynolds, Chief Information Security Officer, Omnitracs; Heather Allen, Distribution Center Manager, YRC Worldwide; and Jessica Mock, Senior Transportation Manager, Dot Transportation, Inc. Facilitated by Deborah Lockridge, Editor in Chief, Heavy Duty Trucking and Truckinginfo.com.

She makes herself available to answer questions, provide support, and encourage endurance on the road to success.

jessica-mock

Jessica Mock discovered her love for transportation at Western Illinois University where she graduated with my BBA in Supply Chain Management and Spanish in 2011. In 2014, she became a member of the Dot Transportation family where she's worked in various roles—currently, as a Senior Transportation Manager. She's been fortunate not only to work in her dream job, but also to be at home with company who continuously inspires a culture of family, diversity, inclusion, and continuous development. On August 2, she and her husband welcomed their first child. While it has been a whirlwind of adjustment, she is empowered to not only lead by example for her peers, but also for her daughter. Whether at work or at home, she says we should all strive to be the difference we hope to see in the world!
