Wolarik currently volunteers by teaching yoga for truck drivers, helping them manage stress while improving flexibility and overall wellbeing on the road. Her work addresses an often-overlooked aspect of the trucking industry: the physical and emotional toll long hours behind the wheel can take on drivers.
Her connection to WIT began through a referral from Brad Bentley, whom she met years ago at a veteran career fair. Their shared passion for supporting veterans sparked the introduction.
Since joining WIT, she has quickly become a recognizable advocate for driver wellness. She taught yoga at the association’s first-ever WIT on the Road regional event in Arlington, Virginia, and is scheduled to return as an instructor at the upcoming Accelerate! Conference & Expo this October.
Looking ahead, Wolarik hopes to expand her outreach even further by partnering with additional trucking companies and continuing to provide wellness education throughout the industry.
Her commitment to volunteerism was shaped early in life. Raised by a mother who emphasized giving back to others, Wolarik grew up surrounded by service and music. A talented violinist, she now performs for veteran groups, conferences, nursing homes, and hospice patients across the country. Alongside her music, she teaches trauma-sensitive yoga for veterans, first responders, truck drivers, and individuals facing illness or recovery challenges.
Wolarik believes her work fills a critical need within the trucking industry, particularly as drivers face increasing stress and health challenges.
“When I see the moment on someone’s face when they feel a moment of calm, that is why I do what I do,” she says.
Whether through guided breath work, yoga instruction, or a violin performance, Wolarik’s goal remains the same: helping people find comfort, resilience, and healing during difficult moments. Through her volunteer efforts with WIT, she continues to make a meaningful impact on drivers and the broader trucking community.
