From individual driver behavior to wider fleet practices, there is a significant amount of strategy and resources that can be applied to safe and successful fleet performance - whether it's proactive strategy leveraging training and technology or while safely transporting/delivering a shipment. As a fleet professional, it’s important to manage the associated risks and establish a plan for keeping your drivers and vehicles safe.

While professional drivers can have extensive experience behind the wheel, they may not always be up to date with the latest information on risks associated with high mileage driving or driver behaviors, like fatigue and distractions. Likewise, they may not be equipped with the latest tools and technologies to make operations both safer and simpler. Andrea Sequin is Director of Regulatory Services and Driver Training at Schneider, a premier provider of transportation, intermodal and logistics services. In this role, she is responsible for ensuring compliance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations for Schneider’s fleet of over 12,000 drivers and owner-operators. She also leads the 200+ associates of the Schneider Driver Training Academy team who are responsible for welcoming nearly 300 new drivers to the Schneider family each week and teaching them how to drive safely.

Sequin started her career with Schneider in 2004 as an Information Systems Manager. Key responsibilities in this role included overseeing the piloting of new technology and conducting data analysis of the results, as well as implementing new systems and completing user acceptance testing to ensure products worked as expected. In 2009, she became an Operations Support Manager for Schneider’s Bulk division, leading operational projects for the division, and managing cost and revenue levers to include tractor management, driver pay and owner operator contracts. After three years in that role, Sequin assumed her current position which she has held since 2012.

Sequin holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. Sequin is a Certified Director of Safety through the North American Transportation Management Institute and was an active member of the Transportation Research Board-Truck and Bus Safety subcommittee and the American Transportation Research Institute’s Research Advisory Committee. She recently completed her term as President of the Associate Member (non-law enforcement) group within the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance. She lives in Green Bay, Wisconsin, with her husband and two daughters.

Jannon Siler, currently the Vice President of Operations for Michelin Connected Fleet, brings a wealth of experience and insight to the panel. At Michelin, she is responsible for driving incremental improvements in Net Promoter Score (NPS), conducting bi-annual relationship surveys, and championing continuous improvement in customer-centric systems and processes. Siler’s role also involves introducing innovative services and solutions to the North American market and developing management teams to meet the demands of a growing business, all while promoting the Michelin Leadership model.

Her previous leadership roles, including Head of CX Experience at Twitter and Sr. Program Manager of Connected Products at T-Mobile, have further fueled her passion for customer experience, advocacy for women in leadership, and ensuring safety across all environments. Siler’s diverse expertise makes her a dynamic contributor to any discussion on operational excellence, customer experience, or leadership.

Alyssa Adams has worked in defense of the transportation industry for more than 14 years, helping tractor-trailer drivers navigate the legal system when they are involved in an accident. She continues to work with litigation and settlements of tractor- trailer accidents, traffic citations in court and drafting contracts for trucking companies.

Adams is very active in Women in Trucking and will be starting as a board member of the Women in Trucking Foundation in 2025.

She is also a member and heavily involved with Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association's Safety Management Council and Next Generation Committee.

Adrienne Gildea joined CVSA in 2011 as director of policy and government affairs. For four years, Gildea represented the Alliance on Capitol Hill, assisting with policy and messaging, and working on behalf of the membership to advance commercial motor vehicle safety. In 2016, Gildea was promoted to deputy executive director. Gildea has more than 18 years in the transportation policy field. Prior to joining CVSA, Gildea was a senior associate at a public affairs firm, where she managed a national freight advocacy coalition. Gildea is a graduate of Tulane University with a bachelor’s degree in political science and English, and a minor in philosophy.
