The Women In Trucking Association is closely following the ongoing public health situation involving COVID-19. We are excited to see everyone at the upcoming Accelerate! Conference & Expo. The safety of our guests is our highest priority, and we ask our attendees to follow and respect our safety and health tips:
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends vaccinations and WIT encourages attendees who are comfortable in doing so to get vaccinated prior to attending this conference. Read up on CDC vaccination resources and the benefits of getting vaccinated here.
Do not enter the Accelerate! Conference & Expo event space if you have any symptoms of any Coronavirus/COVID-19 or any other contagious infections spread mainly from inter-personal contact: Cough; Muscle pain; Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing; Sore throat; Fever of 100.4°F or higher; New loss of taste of smell; or Chills.
When possible, keep a distance and avoid greeting others with physical contact. WIT also will take aggressive steps to ensure seating during educational sessions, meals, and networking receptions are socially distanced in according with CDC guidelines.
If you feel more comfortable wearing a mask in a conference setting, you are encouraged to do so.
WIT has arranged for hand sanitizer stations to be placed throughout the meeting facilities, so make sure to take advantage.
WIT is working closely with the hotel to ensure steps are taken to minimize the spread of germs, including the use of plexiglass in all high-traffic areas such as registration, practice of wearing masks by hotel staff, etc.
