While many people can agree it’s the “right thing to do” to care about creating some kind of DEI initiative in the workplace, there is less understanding on how to do that - especially if you are not in a top leadership role. Jennifer Karpus-Romain is the Executive Director at the Transportation Marketing & Sales Association (TMSA), the only non-profit industry association of its kind serving sales and marketing professionals in logistics and transportation. Karpus-Romain is responsible for the leadership, management, growth and overall performance of the association, as overseen by a dynamic, diverse Board of Directors made up of who’s who in executive positions across the industry.
Outside of TMSA, Karpus-Romain serves as the Vice President of the Board of Directors at the Ohio Alliance to End Sexual Violence, and as an adjunct professor at Cuyahoga Community College, where she coaches students on digital marketing as well as social media programming and tactics. Her previous roles include Director of Marketing for Faye, owner of her own content development firm, and as well as numerous positions in publishing and marketing.
