One Connection at a Time: Staying Involved Beyond Accelerate

Written by Alyssa Kirkman | Oct 06, 2026

WIT's Accelerate! Conference is almost here, October 25-28 in Dallas, and if you're headed there, you already know the energy that comes with a room full of women who understand exactly what you're building toward. That energy shouldn't live inside four days in October. From the driver's seat to the C-suite, WIT is built to support your growth all year long, in person and online, whether or not Dallas is on your calendar this month.

Q4 has a way of slipping by fast. Before the year wraps, here are a few concrete ways to stay involved, no matter how much time you have to give.

Show Up, In Person or Online

If you haven't registered for Accelerate! yet, there's still time. And if Dallas isn't in the cards this year, Salute to Women Behind the Wheel and WIT on the Road bring that same energy throughout the year. WIT on the Road is now accepting hosts for 2027. If your company or chapter has been thinking about bringing an event to your area, email alyssa@womenintrucking.org to talk through what hosting looks like.

Build a Connection That Lasts

Mentorship and networking groups remain one of the most direct ways to build relationships that outlast a single conversation. Q4 is a natural time to join one, since many groups use the fall to set goals for the year ahead. Webinars, including networking mixers, offer the same kind of connection without the travel, putting you in a room, virtually, with people who already understand your work.

Tell Your Story Before the Year Ends

Every member has something worth sharing, and there are more ways than ever to do it.

Your Involvement Doesn't Have to Wait

Whether you're heading to Dallas this month or building your connection to WIT entirely from home, the opportunities are open to you right now. Pick one, and commit to it before the year is out. That's how this community keeps growing, one connection at a time.
