HR/TALENT MANAGEMENT LEADERSHIP

About This Session

As the transportation industry rapidly evolves, success hinges not just on experience or title, but on the ability to adapt, collaborate, and make strong decisions in real time. At Saia, they're reshaping how they develop talent - moving beyond career ladders to focus on building core capabilities that drive resilience and innovation. In this session, you'll explore how to cultivate future-ready teams through experiential learning, behavioral assessments like the Birkman Method, and scalable internal development programs. Join us to discover how to reframe leadership potential and position your workforce for long-term impact in a tech-enabled world.

Attend this session to:

  • Gain a clear understanding of three critical capabilities — adaptability, collaboration, and decision-making that are essential for thriving in the future of transportation.

  • Build a framework for structuring internal development programs that prioritize individual strengths, encourage stretch opportunities, and enable growth conversations beyond traditional roles and titles.

  • Learn practical insight into using behavioral assessments to identify high-potential talent in unexpected places, helping uncover leaders who may not "check every box" but already possess what it takes to lead.
