Driving Change in the Fight Against Human Trafficking
SAFETY & COMPLIANCE
About This Session
Human trafficking is a $235 billion global industry built on exploitation and much of it happens right in front of us. In North America, traffickers operate along the same routes traveled daily by freight and logistics professionals, making our industry uniquely positioned to fight back. In this powerful session, Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT) will expose the hidden realities of labor and sex trafficking, share how the industry is actively combating it, and show you how to become part of the solution. From highways to hotel lots, your awareness could save a life. Featuring TAT’s compelling new corporate training video, You’ve Seen Us Before, this session empowers every attendee (driver or not) to take action against modern-day slavery.
Attend this session to:
- Gain Critical Awareness of Trafficking Realities:
Understand the signs and patterns of labor and sex trafficking in the U.S., particularly in locations truckers frequent — such as truck stops, rest areas, and local businesses — and recognize how prevalent this crime truly is.
- Obtain Tools for Action and Intervention:
Learn how to spot indicators of trafficking, discover how TAT’s training has helped recover victims and arrest perpetrators, and see firsthand how one phone call can change a life.
- Learn Pathways for Corporate and Personal Involvement:
Gain insight from industry leaders on how companies are actively engaging with TAT, and explore clear, actionable ways you and your organization can join this growing movement to end human trafficking.
