Frequently Asked Questions

When is the submission deadline?

Tuesday, March 31.

I've submitted my proposal, what's next?

Presentation proposals are reviewed by the Content Committee, a volunteer group comprised of industry executives or professionals who provide guidance regarding relevant and meaningful content for WIT’s annual Accelerate! Conference & Expo. Those chosen to speak will be formally notified by the Women In Trucking Association in late spring.

When will I be notified if my proposal is accepted?

Those chosen to speak will be formally notified by the Women In Trucking Association no later than August 31. Speakers will then finalize their topics and presentations. A WIT representative will coordinate with speakers for a final review and answer any questions.

Will I be reimbursed for registration or travel?

We welcome speakers who are passionate about supporting the Women In Trucking Association’s mission and sharing their expertise with our community. As with many nonprofit organizations, WIT does NOT offer complimentary registrations for speakers, nor do we reimburse travel or hotel expenses. Registration revenue directly offsets the substantial costs of hosting the conference, including food and beverage, audiovisual production, and venue services.

That said, many past speakers — from industry practitioners to professional presenters — report that participating in Accelerate! delivers significant value. Speakers frequently gain new clients, build strategic partnerships, and enhance their visibility. Additionally, 45% of our attendees make or influence decisions related to hiring speakers for their own events, creating meaningful opportunities for future engagements.

What is the dress code?

Business casual dress is preferred. Hotel ballrooms can be chilly, so you may want to bring a sweater or jacket.

What time should I arrive at my session room before presenting?
Please arrive at your designated room 15 minutes prior to your scheduled presentation time.
Do I need to bring my own laptop or will one be provided?
Please bring your own laptop as one will NOT be provided to display your presentation.

Will A/V be onsite?
