The Future of Connected Trucking: Safety, Design, and Driver Experience
OPERATIONS TECHNOLOGY PROFESSIONAL DRIVER
About This Session
The future of trucking is being shaped by innovation in connectivity, safety, and human-centered design. As the industry evolves, fleets are discovering that technology alone isn't enough; it must be thoughtfully designed with drivers at the center. Modern connected truck ecosystems are transforming how we approach safety, operational efficiency, and driver well-being, but success requires understanding the intersection of hardware, software, and the human experience behind the wheel.
In this dynamic panel, three accomplished women leaders in transportation technology will share insights on how solutions engineering is evolving to meet the needs of drivers, fleets, and the broader industry. During this session, you'll learn how they:
- Leverage connected truck technology to improve safety, reduce friction in daily operations, and create smarter, more resilient fleets
- Apply human-centered design principles to in-cab interfaces, telematics, and predictive safety tools that empower drivers and build trust
- Integrate inclusivity and empathy into product development, demonstrating how diverse perspectives drive more effective solutions for an increasingly complex industry
- Transform the driver experience through real-world examples of technology that supports well-being on the road while enhancing operational performance across the supply chain
Together, they will explore best practices in solutions engineering and design, examining how thoughtful integration of connectivity and safety features can make highways safer for all. Attendees will leave with a forward-looking vision for how connected technologies are reshaping professional trucking and creating a more sustainable, driver-focused future for the industry.
