Ingrid Brown began her trucking career as an independent owner-operator of Rollin’ B LLC. Today, she serves as Operations Manager of a specialized refrigerated fleet and continues to drive for Blackjack Express LLC, specializing in heavy haul, oversize, and refrigerated freight.

A charter member of the Women In Trucking Association since 2007, Brown has served on the Image Team since its inaugural year in 2015 and currently serves on the Advisory Committee.

Throughout her career, Brown has been a dedicated advocate for commercial motor vehicle safety. She continues to work with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration to promote safer highways and was selected as FMCSA’s CMV Voice of Safety for the Our Roads, Our Safety campaign in 2019.

Brown’s industry recognition includes being named to the National Association of Small Trucking Companies America’s Road Team and receiving its Woman Driver of the Year award in 2015. In 2018, she was named a Citizen Driver by TA-Petro Travel Centers, which renamed its Oklahoma City Petro location the Ingrid R. Brown OKC Petro in her honor.

Brown is passionate about mentoring women and others in trucking and giving back to the industry.

Jo Lynn “JJ” Kelley is a professional truck driver with Walmart’s Private Fleet and a member of the WIT Image Team. In her seven-year driving career, she has accumulated nearly 600,000 safe miles and traveled throughout all 48 contiguous United States.

Kelley began her driving career with Schneider National, where she spent three years before joining Walmart’s Private Fleet four years ago. She describes what she enjoys most about driving a tractor-trailer as “the accountability with complete autonomy.”

Named WIT’s February 2025 Member of the Month, Kelley actively supports the organization at industry events, including assisting with WITney®, WIT’s educational trailer. She has also participated in trucking industry interviews, contributed blogs and shared her experiences from the road.

Before entering trucking, Kelley worked as a project accountant and owned a professional photography studio. Outside of work, she enjoys acrylic painting and volunteers as a pet rescue transporter.

Jenna Walker is a third-generation member of her family’s trucking business, Walker Sand & Stone. She grew up around trucks and the transportation industry, so trucking has always been a huge part of her life. She earned her Class A CDL at 18 and now spends her time both behind the wheel and working within the family business.

As a young woman in trucking, she is passionate about showing other women that there is a place for them in this industry. “I love being behind the wheel, meeting new people, and representing an industry that has given my family and me so much. I’m also proud to be a member of Women In Trucking and to be part of a community that encourages women to step into roles they may not have always pictured themselves in.”

Whether driving, working with the team, creating content for the company, or talking with others about the industry, she hopes to use her experiences to encourage more young women to consider careers in trucking. “I’m excited to continue learning, growing, and representing the next generation of women in transportation.”

Shawnta Wortham is a Critical Cargo Specialist with Boyle Transportation and a member of the Women In Trucking Image Team. She began her trucking career in 2017, earning her CDL through Prime Inc.’s training program and becoming a Highway Diamond lease operator. Her commitment to safety and professionalism has earned her recognition, including a Driver Safety Award as a Landstar Ranger.

Throughout her career, Wortham has worked as a company driver, lease operator, owner-operator, and entrepreneur. She has safely transported refrigerated, intermodal, agricultural grain, high-value, and temperature-sensitive freight, giving her broad experience across the transportation industry.

Before trucking, Wortham worked at Cape Fear Valley Hospital, where she developed a passion for serving others. She carries that commitment into her work today by safely transporting critical freight, mentoring incoming drivers, and supporting fellow transportation professionals.

As a Women In Trucking Image Team member, Wortham advocates for highway safety and professional drivers while encouraging more women to pursue careers in transportation. She remains committed to lifelong learning, collaboration, professionalism, and representing the trucking industry with integrity.
