Standing committees and task forces are very similar in function and focus with their main difference being their term of service. Standing committees tend to focus on general tasks of the organization that have an ongoing need for attention or oversight with participation of volunteers for either an indefinite or set term. A task force is formed to address a specific topic or issue with participation ending once the goal of formation has been achieved. Have interest in getting involved in a task force or committee? Contact us, we’d be happy to help you get connected.
