Volunteer Spotlight: Inspired by Family, Driven to Give Back
by Women In Trucking Staff, on Oct 19, 2026

Trisha Mossor's passion for the trucking industry began at an early age while watching her father weigh grain trucks on the family farm. Those experiences sparked an appreciation for an industry that would eventually become an important part of her professional life. Today, as Business Development Manager for Aim Transportation Solutions and an active volunteer with the Women In Trucking Association (WIT), Mossor is committed to creating opportunities for others and helping move the industry forward.
Her decision to become involved with WIT was driven by a desire to play a more meaningful role in advancing women in trucking. That commitment has grown into several volunteer opportunities, including serving on WIT's Content and Membership Committees, helping organize a Girl Scouts event, and participating as a panelist at the 2025 Accelerate! Conference & Expo.
For Mossor, volunteering is an opportunity to demonstrate to her children that women can succeed in trucking and pursue whatever goals they set for themselves. She hopes her involvement will help encourage the next generation to recognize the possibilities available to them.
Service, integrity and connection are central to Mossor's approach to volunteerism. Throughout her career, she has witnessed how meaningful relationships and mentorship can create opportunities, build confidence and support professional growth.
"I believe that sharing knowledge, supporting professional growth, and giving back to the industry are important responsibilities," Mossor says. "Volunteering allows me to contribute to something larger than myself while helping others succeed."
At Aim Transportation Solutions, Mossor manages truck specifications and orders, sales and customer accounts while working closely with businesses to understand their transportation needs. One of the aspects she enjoys most is learning about the many industries that rely on trucking and helping companies determine how transportation supports their broader business objectives.
Beyond her responsibilities at Aim, Mossor is actively involved in her local Chamber of Commerce and serves on several community boards, including her local Goodwill Industries. These experiences complement her volunteer work with WIT and reflect her dedication to strengthening the communities and industries she serves.
Among her most memorable WIT experiences was participating in a panel discussion about generations in the workplace at the 2025 Accelerate! Conference & Expo. Mossor recalls the lasting impression made by moderator Michelle Lewis-Williams of Estes Express Lines, whose kindness and encouragement helped put her at ease while speaking.
The experience reinforced the importance of creating welcoming environments where individuals feel supported and confident sharing their perspectives. Mossor strives to bring that same encouragement to her interactions with fellow WIT members and volunteers, hoping her approachable and engaged nature contributes to positive experiences for others.
Mossor hopes to continue supporting WIT's mission by helping foster an inclusive environment that attracts and retains talented individuals in trucking. Through committee involvement, mentorship and industry engagement, she sees opportunities to strengthen connections and encourage more women to pursue careers in transportation.
Behind her dedication to the industry is a deeply personal source of motivation. Her father, who first introduced her to trucking through those childhood experiences on the farm, passed away in a tractor-trailer accident in 2021. His pride in her decision to enter the industry remains a driving force behind her continued involvement and commitment to its future.
Mossor carries his influence with her as she works to make a difference through her career and volunteer efforts. By supporting others, sharing her experiences and advocating for greater opportunities for women, she continues to honor the person who first inspired her love of trucking while helping shape a stronger future for the industry.
