Jennifer-Overmyer-300x300Jennifer Overmyer’s approach to leadership is rooted in a simple idea: meaningful impact starts with investing in people. As Vice President of Mobile Drivers, Compliance & Payroll for Centerline Drivers, a TrueBlue company, Overmyer brings that same philosophy to her volunteer work with the Women In Trucking Association (WIT).

For the past two years, Overmyer has served as a facilitator for one of WIT’s Career & Professional Development Networking Groups. Her involvement began after attending the 2024 Accelerate! Conference & Expo, where she decided she wanted to contribute beyond membership.

Rather than waiting for an opportunity to come her way, Overmyer reached out to WIT leadership and asked how she could best put her experience and leadership skills to work. Those conversations led to an opportunity to help launch one of WIT’s first networking groups, creating a space for women in the industry to connect, learn and support one another throughout the year.

“I believe leadership is ultimately about serving others,” Overmyer says. “Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to have mentors who challenged me, believed in me, and invested in my success. Those experiences shaped the leader I am today and inspire me to do the same for others.”

That commitment to developing others is also central to Overmyer’s professional role. At Centerline Drivers, she oversees the company’s Mobile Driver business, compliance operations, payroll and strategic initiatives. She works with teams across the United States and globally to develop scalable processes, strengthen operational efficiency, ensure regulatory compliance and deliver a strong experience for customers and drivers.

One of her greatest professional passions is developing leaders and creating high-performing teams where people feel empowered to grow and make an impact. Her volunteer work with WIT provides another avenue to put that passion into practice.

Overmyer says one of the most rewarding aspects of facilitating the networking group has been watching relationships develop beyond the meetings themselves. Participants have shared challenges, celebrated successes, exchanged perspectives and formed connections that can continue to benefit them professionally.

“Sometimes the most meaningful impact begins with simply making someone feel seen, heard, and supported,” Overmyer says.

Overmyer hopes to continue building a welcoming community where women can develop authentic professional relationships, strengthen their confidence and learn from one another.

After more than two decades in transportation and workforce solutions, Overmyer recognizes the role that mentorship, networking and strong leadership have played in her own career. Transportation has given her opportunities to grow, and she feels a responsibility to help create those opportunities for others.

Whether through her leadership at Centerline Drivers or her volunteer work with WIT, Overmyer continues to invest in people and encourage them to see what is possible in the transportation industry. For her, the impact of volunteering may come down to something as simple as helping one person feel more connected, confident or inspired to pursue what comes next.
